AbbVie Process Chemistry is seeking an Associate Scientist I to work under the mentorship of a supervisor and support process research and development of small molecules, including peptides, from pre-clinical through early clinical phases.
Key Responsibilities:
· With supervision, the candidate will conduct process development and characterization for peptides and other modalities as a member of chemistry teams.
· The candidate will be responsible for generating and analyzing precise, reliable, and reproducible data in a timely manner, with the direction of a more senior scientific leader.
· The candidate will maintain laboratories and shared instruments including peptide synthesizers, UPLC’s, and LCMS’s in working order through periodic routine maintenance.
· The candidate will manage laboratory equipment and chemical inventories to support the synthesis of peptides and small molecules.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or related field with laboratory experience.
· Excellent written communication, oral communication, organization, and multitasking skills.
· Proficient with Windows 10 and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)

The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Company believes in good faith it will pay for this role at the time of this posting based on the job grade for this position. Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location, and we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is eligible to participate in our short-term incentive programs.
