Arts + Ideas Event and Program Coordinator

Are you passionate about arts, culture, and community? Do you love putting on events that inspire, connect, and entertain? Come join the SJCC team and help bring our incredible lineup of authors, chefs, musicians, filmmakers, and performers to life!

We’re looking for a detail-oriented, people-loving, culture-curious Program Coordinator to help run our Arts + Ideas events—including speaker series, concerts, comedy nights, family shows, and the Seattle Jewish Film Festival. If you can wrangle volunteers, manage logistics like a pro, and thrive in fast-paced environments where no two days are the same—this is the job for you. This position pays $24.00 to $28.00 per hour based on experience.

What You'll Do:

• Manage the box office and front-of-house for year-round events and the Seattle Jewish Film Festival
• Coordinate all things ticketing, from online sales to virtual events
• Plan logistics: reserve venues, coordinate vendors, and make sure everything runs smoothly
• Communicate with patrons and provide top-notch customer service
• Support visiting artists, speakers, and sponsors
• Recruit, schedule, and lead event volunteers
• Help with outreach and partnership-building to grow audiences
• Track films and talent for future programming ideas
• Collaborate across teams and contribute to creative planning
• Work some evenings and weekends—because that’s when the magic happens!

Requirements

 What We’re Looking For:

• 1–3 years of experience in events, customer service, arts programming, or nonprofit work
• A people person with great communication and organizational skills
• Cool under pressure, highly adaptable, and comfortable juggling multiple priorities
• Tech-comfy: You know your way around Excel, Zoom, and ticketing systems (or are willing to learn)
• A collaborator who thrives in a mission-driven, inclusive community
• Reliable transportation (for occasional local travel)
