About the Role

Rune isn’t just a company, it’s a movement poised for explosive growth supporting the military’s logistics enterprise. As the Proposal & Capture Lead, you’ll be an integral part of Rune’s Growth team, responsible for developing capture strategies, and leading the creation and delivery of compelling proposals and responses. You’ll lead the charge in transforming defense logistics by driving execution on new business captures in the complex military acquisition space. We’re looking for professionals who understand the nuances of military procurement, appreciate the power of high-tech solutions, and can navigate complex market dynamics to deliver solutions for our customers. If this is you, join our team and collaborate closely with our Growth Directors to drive new capture opportunities across the finish line that empower our warfighters and bolster national security.

What You’ll Do

  • Report directly to the company’s Head of Growth and work closely with the company’s Growth Directors to execute on capture opportunities to drive top-line growth

  • Plan, organize and lead efforts through the full proposal development process, ensuring capture opportunities meet all requirements and deadlines.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, product, mission success) and the company executive leadership team to align business goals and initiatives for capture efforts and solicitation responses.

  • Lead contract negotiations in partnership with relevant Growth Director for transition to execution by Rune’s Mission Success team.

  • Develop relationships with key contract and acquisition professionals across the military logistics and sustainment community to enable Rune capture efforts.

  • Oversee the proposal pipeline, tracking progress from initial drafting and shaping through to final contract award with relevant Growth Directors.

 

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience preferred in proposal and capture, business development, sales, or strategic partnerships within the defense technology sector.

  • High ownership mindset; we’re looking for motivated individuals who are biased to action and to assume responsibility for their capture efforts and the growth of the company.

  • Sound understanding of U.S Department of Defense solicitation processes and contract structures.

  • Ability to understand and draft content around complex technical concepts for government and military stakeholders; experience in software proposal and capture roles preferred.

  • Bachelor’s Degree required.

  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. secret security clearance.
