Job Description

About Us:

We're a premier entertainment public relations firm specializing in consumer and awards campaigns. We represent a diverse roster of clients, from major studios, streaming platforms, independent filmmakers and film festivals. With a dynamic, creative, and strategic approach, we deliver award-winning campaigns that shape industry narratives and amplify our clients' presence in a competitive market.

Role Summary:

We're looking for an experienced Account Director with a strong background in film publicity and media relations to join us in a founding role for our New York team. This is an exciting chance to shape our presence and contribute significantly to our growth in the market. This role is for someone who enjoys thinking strategically, communicating clearly, and leading proactively. You'll manage several high-profile accounts, guiding publicity campaigns from the initial idea all the way through to launch. You'll work closely with clients, talent, media, and our internal teams to make these campaigns happen.

What you'll do:

  • Develop and guide the public relations strategy for film campaigns.
  • Build and maintain strong connections with key media contacts, clients, and industry stakeholders.
  • Be the primary contact for clients, making sure they receive top-tier service and their campaigns are effective.
  • Create and refine press materials like press releases, media alerts, biographies, and talking points.
  • Guide and support junior team members, helping to create a collaborative and high-performing environment.
  • Work with talent representatives, studios, and outside partners.
  • At least 7 years of public relations experience, with 5 or more years focused on entertainment PR.
  • A track record of success in film publicity, including experience with awards campaigns, festival strategy, and working with talent.
  • Strong connections with media in film, entertainment, and lifestyle areas.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to lead projects and teams.
  • A genuine interest in film and the entertainment industry.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally, about 2-3 weeks per year.
  • A competitive salary and performance-based bonuses.
  • Comprehensive health insurance and a 401(k) with a company match.
  • Generous paid time off and a flexible, hybrid work environment.
  • The chance to be a foundational part of our New York story, with significant opportunities for growth and leadership.
