This is an exceptional career opportunity for a highly competent and analytical person to be involved with both a high volume of acquisition deal flow and internal budgeting, forecasting and analytics.

Job Description

  • Monthly reporting of consolidated financial results to investors, lenders, and executives.
  • Analysis of financial results with the ability to clearly communicate results with detailed analysis of variances to budget and prior periods.
  • Financial due diligence, analysis, and pricing of target acquisitions.
  • Following acquisition transactions from start to finish including:  i) initial diligence and pricing; ii) working with third party quality of earnings providers; iii) conducting ad hoc analysis to support IDG’s operations and legal teams during contracting, diligence, close and transition; iv) performing analysis and creating presentations for IDG’s investment committee and investors.
  • Working closely with IDG’s internal sales team to communicate with external accountants of sellers to obtain and understand financial information.
  • Communicate conclusions simply – verbally, in email and in Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Conduct regular analytics for IDG’s operations team and provide reports to allow them to better understand the recent and near-term performance of IDG’s practices (including KPIs).
  • Conduct other financial and non-financial analysis as required.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Finance or accounting.
  • High proficiency with Microsoft Office (Specifically strong in excel).
  • 2 years FP&A experience, specifically in budgeting and forecasting for a multi-departmental organization.
  • M&A experience a plus.
  • Analytical mind set, intellectual curiosity and a desire to learn how to conduct sophisticated financial analytics.
  • Ability to create advanced spreadsheets to solve quantitative problems.
  • Ability to think and work independently.  Thoughtful and analytical.  Desire to work on a variety of projects, simultaneously and in a fast-paced environment.
