Summary:
The Project Manager will lead the design and construction of EV charging infrastructure projects, serving as the primary accountability owner for the full delivery of EV projects from customer contract signing to commercial operation.
This comprehensive role encompasses end-to-end project management responsibilities including planning, execution, monitoring, and closeout phases of each project.
The Project Manager will collaborate extensively with internal partners including the Customer Success, Incentives, Energy, Supply Chain, Procurement, Logistics, Project Finance, Vehicle Titling & Registration, and the Marketing team to ensure seamless project delivery and exceptional customer experiences. The role will report directly to the Director, Project Execution.
This role is remotely based with a 25%-30% travel expectation.
\n- Drive EV infrastructure projects from kickoff to closeout, ensuring delivery is on time, on budget
- Partner with Customer Success Team to deliver excellent customer experiences
- Confirm project plans with internal teams to ensure alignment and readiness across all functions
- Oversee the full delivery lifecycle of EVSBs from OEM production to dealer handoff in coordination with Procurement
- Coordinate final vehicle delivery from the dealer to the customer site
- Lead procurement efforts for electrical gear and EVSE components, working with our Supply Chain team
- Select engineering consultants and construction contractors for projects
- Negotiate and execute project-based subcontractor agreements
- Serve as the primary point of contact for utilities to coordinate interconnection scopes and required service upgrades
- Support the permitting process by submitting required applications and tracking approvals
- Establish and maintain project cost forecasts and actuals
- Develop detailed project schedules, keeping workstreams on track and teams aligned
- Make sure all project work complies with customer expectations, internal standards, and external regulations
- Collaborate with consultants, contractors and peers to solve unique challenges
- 4+ years professional experience OR a bachelor’s degree and 2+ years professional experience
- 2+ years direct project management experience, preferably electrical or civil
- EV charging infrastructure experience preferred
- Renewable energy project experience a plus (V2G, BESS, solar, storage, microgrid)
- Proficient with MS Project or other scheduling software
- Familiarity with Procore or other project management software platforms
