The Sr. Talent Management Specialist manages the development, planning, execution, and continuous improvement of talent development programs. Reporting to the Exec Director, HR, this role will collaborate with business leaders to recommend appropriate workforce solutions (in areas such as talent and leadership development, performance management, onboarding, etc.) that support the advancement of strategic goals and business objectives.
The Sr. Talent Management Specialist manages the development, planning, execution, and continuous improvement of talent development programs. Reporting to the Exec Director, HR, this role will collaborate with business leaders to recommend appropriate workforce solutions (in areas such as talent and leadership development, performance management, onboarding, etc.) that support the advancement of strategic goals and business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Essential Job Duties:
- Manage the development and execution of comprehensive talent management programs and solutions.
- Collaborate with HR and business leaders to ensure fit-for-purpose talent programs, develop and deliver programs addressing development needs, and integrate talent management processes and tools that support employee growth and mobility.
- Collaborate with business leaders and cross-functional teams to assess business needs, develop impactful solutions, and optimize employee performance across the organization.
- Assist Alcanza in fostering a high-performance culture through coaching, development, and accountability.
- Serve as a Talent Business Partner leading Performance Calibration meetings for department leaders to ensure consistency and fairness in evaluation practices, mitigate bias, and identify key talent for succession planning.
- Serve at Talent Business Partner to develop Manager Guides and other resources to address people manager knowledge and skill gaps for operational and leadership elements of roles.
- Collect, evaluate, and provide data-driven insights and innovative talent solutions (that align with and support business needs) to business leadership to aid in talent prioritization and decision-making.
- Document procedures and maintain job aids to support team adoption of tools and processes.
- Implemented surveys, focus groups, and reporting to support data-driven decisions for talent functions.
- Collaborate with training team to improve new hire training, training offerings, and continuous employee development.
- Mentor managers in performance management, coaching, talent development, and other areas.
- Participate in continuing education activities to expand knowledge and skills.
- Communicate and liaise with stakeholders (internal & external) in a timely and professional manner.
- Perform all other duties as required or assigned.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Minimum Qualifications: A Bachelor’s degree AND a minimum of 2 years’ experience in talent management and training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, is required. Prior experience designing and leading talent management programs (particularly in performance management, leadership development, etc.) is required. Experience with Docebo is highly preferred. Bi-lingual (English / Spanish) proficiency is a plus.
