Team Summary

Visa’s Government Engagement (GE) organization aims to create broad alignment between Visa’s business objectives and public policies that affect the payments industry. Our U.S. Government Engagement (USGE) team is headquartered in Washington, D.C. with colleagues in California and Utah. We engage with a wide range of policy makers and stakeholders to advocate, educate, and provide thought leadership as it relates to Visa’s policy interests to expand access and usage of digital payments around the world. Our team works closely with colleagues across the company including Social Impact & Sustainability, Communications, Marketing, Finance, Compliance, Legal, Risk, Account Executives, Global Policy, Product, Business Solutions, and Visa Consulting & Analytics. Together, the team ensures that USGE continues to maintain its high standard of support for addressing regulatory and policy challenges and enabling business opportunities in the U.S.

Strategy & Operations Analyst

Reporting directly to the Senior Director, Head of U.S. Government Engagement (USGE) Strategy & Operations, this position will support USGE’s strategic planning, content development, business and administrative processes and operations, and team reporting requirements.

Essential Functions

  • Deliver high-quality content on USGE issues and activities.

  • Support collection and review of data for audit, compliance, and other mandatory reporting.

  • Manage the development and maintenance of USGE templates and SOPs to maximize team productivity.

  • Support the development of briefing materials for executive engagements to ensure they are relevant, consistent, and accurate. 

  • Support planning and execution of large- and small-scale events for internal and external audiences. Manage event logistics, track and communicate next steps.

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.

 

 

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications
-2 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or an Advanced
Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD, or PhD)

Preferred Qualifications
-4 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or more than 2 years
of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD)
-Sound professional judgment, ability to handle sensitive information with the
utmost discretion.
-Outstanding communication skills (written, visual (ppt), verbal, listening) with
demonstrated writing experience.
-Keen attention to detail with track record of consistently delivering meticulous,
thoughtful work within tight deadlines.
-Highly organized with the ability to multi-task and independently manage and
prioritize assignments.
-Curious and flexible team player, willing to take on new tasks as priorities shift.
-Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 105,800.00 to 149,550.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity. Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401 (k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.
