Our client handles the headaches that come along with running payroll so its clients can focus on more important things. Since 2002 it has been helping companies file payroll taxes, providing employee self-service portals, and meeting many other needs. Our client prides itself in its client care: they provide absolutely free technical support, will configure our solutions to fit your exact needs. Most of its solutions work by integrating directly into the accounting systems that are already in place, such as the Microsoft Dynamics line and many other ERPs.


Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the design, maintenance, and optimization of our cloud and on-prem infrastructure supporting all customer-facing products.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the organization, security, maintenance, and optimization of infrastructure supporting all products, ensuring high availability and peak performance.

  • Drive the implementation and refinement of tooling and automation solutions to expedite issue resolution and proactively prevent incidents when feasible.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with IT and engineering teams to shape hosting strategies that enhance existing products/processes and facilitate the integration of new technologies.

  • Work closely with DevOps team to ensure seamless operation and swift performance of our technology stack, encompassing hosted websites, services, and all internal/client-facing products.

  • Monitor and promptly respond to emerging infrastructure challenges in real-time, both during regular work hours and as part of a rotating on-call schedule.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Job Requirements

  • 5+ years technical experience in Windows system administration, network engineering and automation scripting

  • 5+ years experience running cloud services, preferably Azure

  • 3+ years hand-on experience in Powershell/Python

  • 3+ years experience with CI/CD technologies such as Azure Devops and/or Octopus Deploy.

Nice to have:

  • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, preferably AKS.

  • SQL Server and/or Azure Database management experience.

  • Experience with Datadog or similar monitoring/alerting solution.

  • Experience Supervising other Team Members

  • Familiarity with IAC tools such as Terraform/Bicep
