Job Description
This candidate will develop and lead customer-centric, digital marketing strategies to drive customer growth, retention, and engagement. They will manage a team within a matrixed marketing group, collaborating with cross-functional partners—including agencies, product, sales, and technical teams—to launch content to support campaigns and other initiatives.
This person will help influence and grow our Gen AI platform with content strategists across our marketing organization building out best practices, improving engagement, and enhancing the program. S/he should be comfortable with leading new strategies and leaning into growth and innovation opportunities. They will adapt departmental plans to meet evolving priorities, resource constraints, and operational challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
Content Strategy Leadership
• Oversee content marketing initiatives across enterprise-level campaigns to drive engagement and achieve strategic goals.
• Manage global homepage campaigns, landing page strategies, and marketing activation while ensuring exceptional user experiences and business alignment.
• Lead and develop a Content Strategist Community of Practice (COP) to foster innovation, share knowledge, and build best practices within the team.
• Advocate for continual improvement in digital assets, focusing on user-centric experiences and key performance indicators (KPIs).
Innovation and Gen AI Opportunities
• Utilize generative AI tools to craft personalized, optimized digital content and transform how digital experiences are created.
• Stay ahead of AI trends, testing and rolling out new capabilities to refine performance and explore emerging opportunities.
- Explore other areas of innovation that will improve marketing efficiencies and improve experiences including quicker time to market.
Team Leadership and Collaboration
• Inspire, lead, and mentor a team of 4-5 marketing professionals, driving team success through guidance and collaboration.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to align and execute seamless, impactful marketing initiatives.
Project and Performance Management
• Oversee multiple large-scale projects, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with overall objectives.
• Provide performance analytics to identify opportunities, overcome challenges, and drive data-backed decision-making.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
- 10 or more years of related experience in marketing and marketing strategy with proven ability to deliver results
Preferred Skills/Experience
- Advanced knowledge of assigned geographical area, competitive market, banking operations, and U.S. Bancorp's products and services
- Strong organizational, interpersonal and team building skills
- Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills
- Agility in thinking and delivery, along with proven ability to take direction in support of company goals
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills
- Proven ability to independently manage multiple projects and assignments that are completed on time and on budget
- Proficient computer navigation skills using a variety of software packages
- MBA or equivalent markers of high achievement are a plus
-Proven experience in digital marketing, with expertise in homepage management, landing page strategy, and campaign activation.
- Strong knowledge of generative AI tools and their application in marketing strategies.
- Excellent project management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Data-driven mindset with exceptional analytical skills.
-Outstanding leadership abilities with experience mentoring and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Exceptional communication skills and creative vision with a sharp eye for detail.
The role offers a hybrid/flexible schedule, which means there's an in-office expectation of 3 or more days per week and the flexibility to work outside the office location for the other days.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $133,365.00 - $156,900.00U.S. Bank will consider qualified applicants with arrest or conviction records for employment.
