Location: Repauno Port & Rail Terminal, Gibbstown, New Jersey
FLSA Status: Salary-Exempt

Position Summary: Repauno Port and Rail Terminal has an immediate opening for an Accounting Analyst at our Repauno administrative site in Gibbstown, NJ. The Accounting Analyst is primarily responsible for processing vendor invoices for payment and customer invoices for collection, account analysis, booking monthly accruals, compiling reports, running queries, analyzing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) data and managing communications with vendors and customers. The employee also performs General Accounting and Reporting functions as indicated below. This position will report to the Senior Accountant.
Responsibilities to include but not limited to:
- Input vendor and customer invoices and ensure that account coding is accurate before sending for approval; manage timely approvals.
- Create new vendors and customers in the accounting system; perform third party verification of vendors’ banking instructions.
- Maintain the AP and AR subsidiary ledgers; track the aging of invoices.
- Manage the AP mailbox on a daily basis.
- Prepare cash receipt journal entries.
- Coordinate receipts on Purchase Orders in order to process related invoices.
- Process all check runs and wire payments to vendors.
- Monitor third party fund balances and reconcile to G/L.
- Assist with monthly AP accruals and the reconciliation of all AP related accounts.
- Coordinate legal bills with in-house counsel and manage approvals with Corporate.
- Complete vendor credit applications as necessary.
- Handle internal and external vendor and customer inquiries.
- Lead compliance reporting, including monthly IRS and Sarbanes-Oxley (if applicable).
- Update monthly management reports to be submitted to Senior Management
General Accounting and Reporting
Support month end close.
Prepare journal entries related to various accruals.
Prepare monthly account reconciliations.
Perform other ad hoc duties and participate in special projects as assigned.
Requirements
Required Knowledge, Skill, & Abilities:
- Must be at least 18 years of age, and legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Must possess a valid Driver’s License.
- Must have a pre-employment drug screen and pass background check.
- Ability to obtain a TWIC card is required.
- Minimum 5+ years' experience and/or training in accounting and/or AP required. Bachelor's degree is preferred.
- Experience processing a high volume of transactions in an ERP system. Experience with Microsoft Dynamics BC365 a plus.
- Fully proficient in Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint) at an intermediate to advanced level.
- Ability to work under a minimum level of supervision with a high level of discretion and independent judgement.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Superior communication skills, both written and verbal; excellent interpersonal skills and abilities. Strong grammar and editing skills.
- Thorough focus; high attention to detail.
- Deadline oriented.

- Prior port, terminal or infrastructure experience a plus.
Physical requirements:
- Ability to sit and use a computer for long periods of time.
- Ability to lift up to 20 lbs. of force occasionally to move objects.
- Ability to bend and stoop in order to file documents into filing cabinets.
