We are seeking a Finance Analyst to join the Mortgage Finance team responsible for forecasting and reporting of expenses and key metrics.  As the Finance Analyst, you will provide financial analytics, reporting, and budgetary awareness using various financial systems, data information systems, and scheduling systems to key business leaders. You will work collaboratively with other financial staff in a team environment and support initiatives that will improve financial processes. Additionally, you will be a key player in providing insight and recommendations to key business leaders to ensure the business line is staying within budget forecasts and general targets.  

Primary responsibilities include

  • Develop monthly financial reports, annual budget, and monthly forecasts. Provide transparent reporting, highlighting significant assumptions, opportunities and risks. Distill conclusions into succinct, impactful analysis and commentary appropriate for executive management.
  • Provide insight and make recommendations to ensure the business line stays within forecasts. 
  • Evaluate financial projections in light of environment, historical performance, initiatives and external market expectations. Preparation and coordination of monthly variance analysis during month end closing process. Research and analysis of variances to determine underlying business reasons.
  • Identify process improvements, including management/organization of metric data, creation of standard and ad hoc reports and automation of routine tasks.  
  • Monitor and analyze financial performance, identifying trends and variances.
  • Conduct ad-hoc analyses to support strategic business decisions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and recommendations.

Qualifications, Education, Certifications and/or Other Professional Credentials

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related field
  • 2-4 years of experience in financial analysis role
  • Proficiency in financial modeling and analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL).
  • Detailed oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Essbase and Oracle experience preferred. 

Hours & Work Schedule

  • Hours per Week: 40
  • Work Schedule: M-F
