Job Description

The Program Coordinator for Housing & Residence Life, under general supervision from the Executive Director for Housing and Residence Life, supports the student housing experience through the development and implementation of residential support services and programming for students residing on and off-campus. The program coordinator will deliver effective programming to support off-campus residents and commuters via the development of commuter student programming and utilization of resources offered within Housing & Residence Life. The Program Coordinator will develop and deploy program assessments and support other housing operations.
 

This position may pay more than the salary listed above depending on the qualifications and experience of the selected candidate.  

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, plan, execute and evaluate residential life programs that fully support the academic mission of the University. Interpret housing related policies and procedures for students that reside and on and off campus through residential orientation programs.

  • Coordinate campus and community resources including web, transportation, academic, meal, programming, meeting and events space, emergency support, and other resources for commuter and off-campus residents, provide customer support services for the H&RL office all-encompassing of responding to issues, escalating complaints and concerns, and recommending process updates to housing administration as needed.

  • Develop and execute a commuter student experience and a commuter assistance program that fosters a sense of community and connection to the university as well as provide ease of access to resources that support academic progress and student engagement, conduct regular evaluations of the residential and commuter experiences concerning the facilities, service delivery, and access to resources.

  • Collaborate with community partners to develop, modify, and/or establish resources related to the residential and commuter experiences. Support the administrative function of the office including case management, budget preparation, and the training and development of residential staff members/student workers.

  • Supports the division of Student Affairs by serving on committees and special projects as needed.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Two years of related experience

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications.

  • Verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
