We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join the AvaCloud team. The AvaCloud team is responsible for simplifying the process of launching the next wave of technology enabled businesses that leverage blockchain-native tooling on Avalanche. This includes managed blockchain services, key management solutions, on-chain privacy, as well as Web3 payment infrastructure. This particular role will be an integral part in launching and maintaining web3 applications by ensuring efficient, reliable, and scalable data solutions to our clients, in addition to supporting data management needs for business operations.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Design and build robust, scalable & reliable real-time pipelines to ingest various types of blockchain data into cloud-native databases
- Improve AvaCloud product, operations, and business decision-making by growing and optimizing our current data sets.
- Plan for current and future data warehousing requirements and make strategic decisions to create robust and dependable architectures.
- Support a culture of engineering excellence and lead by example
- Create systems to make data accessible via API for the Avalanche Explorer (like Subnet Explorer), AvaCloud Wallet as a Service, AvaCloud portal, and other data intensive applications.
- Support externally facing API and webhook data products that we can expose to AvaCloud clients.
- Help to develop data products that can deliver the next wave of on-chain privacy preserving technologies to business users.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING
- Bachelors in Computer Science or related discipline
- 5+ years of hands on data engineering experience
- 3+ years of designing & building cloud-native, high-throughput data processing systems
- Expert in distributed computing
- Proficient with Golang & its native features
- Experience with Data streaming (Kafka or AWS SQS preferred)
- Experience with Postgres database (Aurora or Postgres)
- Experience with NoSQL (DynamoDB preferred)
- Experience with Cloud based Data Warehouses (Snowflake or Redshift preferred)
Salary Range: $158,440 to $198,050
