JOB SUMMARY: Coordinate the recruitment, development, and retention of classified staff talent aligned with the District's strategic initiatives. Conduct recruitment activities to source qualified talent and develop effective programs for classified staff retention.

Job Task Descriptions Frequency Percentage of Time

1.

Support the sourcing, interviewing, and hiring processes for Classified Support staff. Support the planning and organizing of job fairs and recruiting events focused on classified positions. Collaborate with district departments to understand their needs for classified staff and develop strategies to fulfill such needs. Daily 30%

2.

Implement sourcing strategies to build a pipeline of qualified classified staff candidates. Coordinate job postings on external jobsites and manage classified staff recruitment marketing materials. Daily 25%

3.

Ensure exceptional onboarding experiences for classified staff. Collect information and data on the needs of classified employee groups and communicate these to appropriate departments. Daily 20%

4.

Support diversity and inclusion initiatives in classified staff recruitment and retention in alignment with the district's strategic goals. Daily 5%

5.

Assist in developing and implementing orientation programs for new classified staff. Provide a welcoming, inclusive, and informative orientation focused on preparing new classified staff for success. Coordinate volunteer trainings and placements. Weekly 15%

6.

Perform other duties as assigned or requested.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS: This job has no direct supervisory responsibilities.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: The minimum prerequisites of formal education, professional work experience, certifications, licenses, endorsements, designations, trainings, and other criteria that a candidate must fulfill to be considered for a position. It is essential that certifications, licenses, endorsements, designations, and trainings are fulfilled, valid, and not expired.

  • Criminal background check and fingerprinting required
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, human resource management, or similar field
  • Three (3) years of talent management, recruitment, or employee relations experience 
  • Colorado driver's license
  • Diversity and equity training provided by the District after start of employment
  • Basic knowledge of typical office equipment such as telephones, copiers, fax machines, email, etc.
  • Basic knowledge of recruiting methods and practices, as well as applicable employment laws and regulations
  • Basic presentation skills
  • Basic organizational skills
  • Basic problem-solving skills
  • Basic verbal and written communication and interpersonal relations skills

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, human resource management, or similar field
  • Experience working in the public sector
  • Experience working directly with people from diverse racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds
  • Public school district experience
  • Society for Human Resource Management Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) certification/Society for Human Resource Management Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) certification and Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification/Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification
  • Racially conscious and culturally competent with the skill, will, capacity, and knowledge to commit to a culture of continuous improvement
