We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our growing team in Denville, NJ. This position plays a critical role in managing the day-to-day financial operations for our restoration and reconstruction business.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable 
  • Process customer payments, vendor bills, and ensure accurate data entry 
  • Reconcile bank accounts and credit card statements 
  • Prepare financial reports and assist with month-end closing 
  • Work closely with the management team to track job costs, project billing, and profitability 
  • Maintain accurate records for insurance claims, subcontractor payments, and project expenses 
  • Process payroll on a regular basis and maintain accurate payroll records (experience with Paylocity or similar systems is a plus) 
  • Communicate with vendors, customers, and team members as needed

Requirements

 Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a bookkeeper, accounting clerk, or similar role 
  • Experience in construction, restoration, or insurance industries is a plus 
  • Payroll experience required 
  • Familiar with QuickBooks, Microsoft Office (especially Excel), and financial software 
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills 
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality 
  • Team player with a positive attitude
