You and the Role
As a Project Manager at Flooid, you will manage customer relationships, revenue generation, and multiple project deliverables in a profitable manner. This role has great flexibility and the opportunity to work on a global scale with our wider Professional Services team. Primary duties include:
- Developing and maintaining extensive, strong, and long-term positive relationships with current and prospective customers
- Driving strategic programs and initiatives under the product segment, while building positive working relationships across the global organization
- Effectively communicating and managing customer expectations with the goal of maximizing customer satisfaction
- Collaborating with product managers, engineers, designers, and other stakeholders to define project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business objectives
- Facilitating communication between technical and non-technical teams, ensuring clear understanding and alignment of project goals
- Monitoring project progress, identifying potential risks and issues, and proactively implementing mitigation strategies
- Confidently providing regular project updates to senior leadership and other stakeholders, highlighting key milestones, challenges, and achievements
- Managing for the portfolio profitability, including customer P+L, project estimates, budgets, forecasts and expense management, and conducting regular business reviews
- Strategically planning, prioritizing, and balancing a variety of customer commitments
- Anticipating risks and obstacles that could impede effective customer deliveries
- Using discretion and independent judgment, when appropriate and in line with company best practices, to address and resolve customer satisfaction issues
- Traveling to and working at customer sites, when required
Skills & Experience
A successful Project Manager at Flooid will be a strategic planner who still loves the details and who looks for opportunities to innovate. Below are the skills and experience we would like you to have:
- At least four years of practical experience in project management, ideally in the retail and/or technology sectors
- Prior experience in the retail technology area, with software delivery experience highly desired
- Strong technical awareness and the ability to understand the reasoning and implications of technical decisions
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills, with a methodical approach to troubleshooting complex problems and the confidence to ask questions and challenge opinions when necessary
- Ability to build relationships with stakeholders and collaborators across the business
- Strong oral and written communication skills as well as excellent interpersonal skills – must be able to communicate and interact effectively with customers and coworkers
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills with the ability and comfort to set priorities, handle multiple responsibilities, and meet deadlines under tight timescales
- Innovative thinking to create and recognize inspired solutions – thinking “outside the box”
- Awareness of market developments and the retail industry
- Ability to quickly develop a working knowledge of Flooid products and services

Location: United States – Remote or In-Office/Hybrid (primary office located in Cincinnati, Ohio). Because this role supports our global business, candidates must be based in the Eastern or Central Time Zones.
