Who are we looking for?

The Chief of Staff will work directly with our CEO and Executive Team to help guide Pinwheel through its next stage of growth. Being a force multiplier for the CEO, you will balance strategy, project and process management, and execution, helping the CEO be as effective as possible. You excel at, and find joy in, creating order out of chaos and can build the systems needed to run daily operations. You are known as a “Get Shit Done” kind of person. You find joy in solving hard problems and don’t quit until you do.

What will you do?

  • Provide leverage to the CEO by working on strategic projects that are mission critical to the business. 
  • Assist the CEO by working together to align strategy with company priorities, milestones, resourcing to maximize execution.
  • Play a critical role in helping to run the company’s executive meetings and also help with other internal processes like company-wide communications.
  • Help operationalize a world-class culture through the creation of new rituals and processes and improvement of existing ones.
  • Provide decision support through research of information and clear presentation of considerations.

What qualifications are necessary?

  • Former founder or equivalent example of being a self-starter
  • Experience in management consulting (e.g. McKinsey, Bain, BCG, etc.) or equivalent example of rigorous operational skillset
  • Track record of delivering measurable results
  • High horsepower, intellectual curiosity, and grit
  • Elite growth mentality and willingness to learn
  • Experience using data and frameworks to identify problems and find solutions
  • Comfortable managing ambiguous situations

We recruit motivated and high performing talent, and work to compensate people in line with the value they can bring to the organization in delivering outsized results. The talent market is competitive, and maintaining our ability to recruit and retain the best team possible is a top priority for Pinwheel. When creating an offer, we consider interview performance, candidate experience, external market competitiveness, and internal equity in thoughtfully assessing compensation. The expected salary range for this role is $140,000 - $160,000 base salary.
