Make your impact by exploring a career with the world’s leading Medical Device company, striving “to alleviate pain, restore health, and extend life.”   Manager, Customer Training supporting the Surgical Innovations business manages the US HugoTM and IllumisiteTM customer training execution team and US training centers.  The role will be responsible for working with internal stakeholders to align on US HugoTM and IllumisiteTM customer training strategy, execution plans, and performance metrics.  The US Customer Training Manager will work closely with the US Sales Teams, US Surgeon Training Lead, Global Medical Education, US Sales Training, Medical Directors, KOLS, and Training Center Partners to determine critical strategies and execution plans to deliver customer training to support US US HugoTM and IllumisiteTM system installation and lifecycle.

You Will:

  • Manage the customer training team.
  • Facilitates the development of customized training for Medical Professionals on technology and product adoption to improve patient outcomes.
  • Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to develop the US Customer Training strategy and annual execution plan.
  • Develops and executes the annual calendar of technical training events.
  • Managers training centers and training center partnerships.
  • Manages the training center contracts, budgets and product inventory.
  • Maintains the complaint deployment of training center curriculum and content.
  • Manages upskilling of customer trainers to meet the needs of product and therapy launch.
  • Manages and reports US Surgical customer training performance metrics dashboard.

Must Have:

  • Bachelors Degree and minimum of 5 years relevant experience, or

  • Advanced degree with a minimum of 3 years prior relevant experience.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience applying adult learning principles to drive learner success. 

  • Experience with capital system customer training/support and surgical training center management. 

  • Experience managing performance to learner success KPI’s. 

  • Proven success influencing and aligning internal and external stakeholders. 

  • Medical device or regulated industry experience. 
  • Experience managing a team. 

  • Ability to drive aggressive project schedules to completion. 

  • Strong program management skills. 

  • Strong communication skills (written, verbal, listening) with all levels of the organization. 

  • Strong influence management skills.

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$110,400.00 - $165,600.00

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).

The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).

The following benefits and additional compensation are available to those regular employees who work 20+ hours per week: Health, Dental and vision insurance, Health Savings Account, Healthcare Flexible Spending Account, Life insurance, Long-term disability leave, Dependent daycare spending account, Tuition assistance/reimbursement, and Simple Steps (global well-being program).

Regular employees are those who are not temporary, such as interns.  Temporary employees are eligible for paid sick time, as required under applicable state law, and the Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Please note some of the above benefits may not apply to workers in Puerto Rico.
