Lennar is looking for a Software Engineer II to join our Technology team in Bentonville, Arkansas. This is a great opportunity for an early-career, full stack engineer who enjoys building applications that solve real business problems - and who’s eager to learn, grow, and contribute across the tech stack.
You’ll work on a range of tools and services used across Lennar, using modern technologies like React, Node.js, Java/Spring Boot, and cloud platforms. You’ll also have opportunities to explore and apply AI/LLM tools as part of real-world projects.

Your Responsibilities on the Team
Develop full stack applications using React, Node.js, and Java/Spring Boot.
Build and maintain RESTful APIs and backend services.
Work with SQL-based databases to model, query, and manage data effectively.
Contribute to cloud-based deployments on Azure and AWS.
Incorporate unit testing for reliability and code quality.
Collaborate in an agile environment, participate in code reviews, and support production systems.
Stay curious and engaged - we value continuous learning and innovation.
Work with or alongside AI/LLM tools to enhance application capabilities and build agentic applications.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
2+ years of professional experience in software development.
Have some hands-on experience (through coursework, internships, or personal projects) with:
JavaScript/TypeScript, React, and Node.js
Java/Spring Boot or similar backend frameworks
SQL and relational database development
Cloud tools like Azure or AWS
Are familiar with or interested in AI/LLM tools and how they can be used in applications
Familiarity with Palantir Foundry or similar data platforms
Enjoy solving problems, experimenting with new ideas, and shipping code to real users
Have used or explored Next.js in front-end development
Are a strong communicator and enjoy working with a collaborative team
Are based in Bentonville, AR
