Overview:
The Forecasting Analyst plays a critical role in supporting strategic planning and operational alignment across Sales, Engineering, and Finance. This position is responsible for analyzing evolving sales forecasts, product mix, and volume changes to drive accurate demand planning and inform cross-functional decision-making. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical skills, a collaborative mindset, and experience working with dynamic data to support business growth and operational efficiency.

  

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner closely with Sales, Engineering, and Finance to analyze forecast data and evolving pipeline opportunities.
  • Track and interpret changes in sales forecasts, SKU mix, and customer demand to inform inventory strategy and production planning.
  • Develop and maintain forecasting models that reflect shifting customer needs, project timelines, and sales cycles.
  • Support Finance in understanding the volume and mix impacts on cost, revenue, and margin forecasting.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to align forecast data with BOM updates, new product introductions, and phase-outs.
  • Analyze trends and variances using BI tools and Excel; identify gaps between forecast and actuals to recommend corrective actions.
  • Build dashboards and reports to visualize forecast performance, demand patterns, and key planning metrics.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of demand planning processes and data flows between systems and stakeholders.
  • Ensure accurate and timely updates to forecasting inputs in the ERP system and planning tools.
  • Serve as a liaison between Sales and Finance to bridge strategic planning with operational execution.

  

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Analytics, Finance, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in a forecasting, demand planning, or business/data analyst role.
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally and communicate effectively with      technical and non-technical teams.
  • Strong analytical capabilities with proficiency in Excel (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, what-if analysis) and experience with BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
  • Experience working with ERP systems; familiarity with demand planning, BOM management software or S&OP tools is a plus.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to see the “big picture” and contribute to strategic discussions.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with evolving priorities.
