Job Description

We’re looking for an Email & CRM Marketing Specialist to take ownership of our lifecycle communications, combining strategic thinking, executional discipline, and technical know-how to improve customer engagement through email and automated workflows.


Role Objective

This role will be responsible for designing, executing, and optimizing lifecycle communication strategies, primarily through email and CRM workflows. The ideal candidate will ensure the technical health of our email systems, improve engagement KPIs by automating lifecycle journeys and ensuring technical excellence in how data flows through our communication platforms.


Responsibilities

Email Marketing

  • Define and implement the end-to-end email strategy (segmentation, triggers, frequency,  content).

  • Maintain and improve sending infrastructure and domain reputation (SPF, DKIM, DMARC, IP health).

  • Apply best practices to email content: subject lines, image weight, layout, CTAs, etc.

  • Maximize performance metrics: Delivery Rate, Open Rate, Click Rate, Conversions, Unsubscribes, Bounces, etc.

  • Design and run A/B tests to refine subject lines, copy, and frequency.

CRM & Automation

  • Own the CRM tool (Customer.io): maintenance, data hygiene, workflows, campaigns, events, user properties, segmentation.

  • Develop automated journeys across the customer lifecycle (onboarding, engagement, reactivation).

  • Define high-level storytelling and communication strategy.

  • Implement a structured experimentation roadmap (A/B tests, personalization logic, etc.).

  • Collaborate with the dev team to implement event-based triggers and user properties for automation.

  • Required: Solid understanding of event tagging implementation (via GTM/JavaScript).

  • Participate in AI-driven initiatives focused on leveraging behavioral data and user propensity to deliver hyper-personalized, intelligent communication flows.

Analysis & Reporting

  • Monitor dashboards and define CRM/email performance KPIs.

  • Conduct post-campaign analysis and provide actionable insights.

  • Use SQL to independently generate audience lists and validate campaign hypotheses.

Requirements

  • 4+ years experience in a similar role (email marketing, CRM automation, lifecycle marketing).

  • Hands-on experience with CRM/Marketing Automation tools (Customer.io ideal; Hubspot, Braze, Iterable nice to have).

  • Strong grasp of email deliverability mechanics and a solid technical understanding of email marketing best practices.

  • Experience designing automated communication flows.

  • A/B testing and data-driven optimization mindset.

  • Intermediate SQL skills.

  • Solid understanding of JavaScript-based event tracking via GTM.

  • Technically inclined: able to quickly learn and adapt to new tools.

  • Creative and strategic thinker who is excited by AI and automation opportunities.

  • Self-starter with a data-driven mindset.

  • Experience targeting Latino audiences in the U.S. and Puerto Rico.

  • Background in fintech or financial services.
