Position Summary:
Step into a role where precision meets passion. As a Compliance Specialist, you'll be the guardian of excellence, ensuring our treatment center adheres to all state and federal regulations, including those specific to California. Your mission: to monitor compliance, conduct audits, and implement quality assurance measures that uphold the highest standards of care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure we meet California Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) regulations, including Drug Medi-Cal (DMC) requirements.
- Audits: Conduct thorough audits to guarantee adherence to regulatory standards and internal policies.
- Quality Assurance: Innovate and implement quality assurance programs that elevate our service delivery.
- Collaboration: Partner with clinical staff to ensure compliance with best practices and treatment protocols.
- Record Maintenance: Keep meticulous records of compliance activities and audit findings.
- Reporting: Craft detailed reports for management and regulatory agencies.
- Training: Empower staff with training on compliance and quality assurance standards.
- Risk Identification: Identify and mitigate potential areas of compliance vulnerability and risk.
- Corrective Actions: Develop and execute corrective action plans to address identified issues.
- Policy Development: Shape and refine compliance policies and procedures.
- Data Analysis: Dive into data to uncover trends and areas for improvement in compliance and quality assurance.
- Client Feedback: Gather and analyze client feedback to ensure our services exceed expectations.
- External Audits: Prepare and coordinate for external audits conducted by regulatory agencies.
- Incident Reporting: Lead the reporting and investigation of compliance-related incidents.
- Vendor Compliance: Ensure third-party vendors meet our organizational standards and regulatory requirements.
- Performance Metrics: Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to compliance and quality assurance.
- Community Engagement: Champion compliance standards and quality assurance practices within the community.
- Other Duties: Perform other duties as assigned.

Pay & Benefits: At Janus, base salary is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $25.00 and $28.00 per hour and your base pay will be considered on your job-related skills, training, qualifications, experience, and relevant education.
As part of our team, you'll frequently move equipment weighing up to 25 pounds, ensuring everything is in the right place for our various needs. You'll also have the opportunity to stay active by occasionally moving around the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, and more.

Requirements
- Experience: Experience in compliance or quality assurance, preferably in a healthcare, public health, social work SUD treatment setting.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Knowledge of California state regulations related to SUD treatment.
- Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in Healthcare Compliance (CHC) or Certified Quality Auditor (CQA).
- Experience with Drug Medi-Cal (DMC) programs.
