Role Overview
The Account Manager will join a high-performing team focused on customer support and GP growth. This position is focused on maintaining existing client relationships and fostering new development opportunities by addressing current needs, responding to RFQs, and ensuring projects are managed appropriately. You will help guide customers to the correct materials and processes required to be successful for their individual programs. Success in this role requires a strong curiosity to understand technical details, a willingness to learn and use multiple systems (MRP, CRM, etc.), effective communication, and project management skills to keep initiatives progressing smoothly. This position is an in-office role, reporting directly to the Manager, Account Management and collaborating with a team of professionals in Sales, Operations, Quality, and Finance.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Building and maintaining relationships with our clients
- Serve as the primary point-of-contact for assigned customers
- Field general sales calls and emails
- Gather customer and market information
- Manage assigned accounts to generate maximum sales volume and profits through proactive selling, regular customer contact, and servicing of accounts
- Ensure customer satisfaction and organizational efficiency through timely and accurate processing and preparation of orders, inquiries, and documentation
- Assist in the development of Sales Forecasts with regular updates from assigned accounts
- Follow up and qualify leads from General Plastics’ website, hotlines, tradeshows, and other marketing promotions in an effective and timely manner
- Provide product recommendations, pricing, and quotation to qualified prospects
- Ensure timely satisfactory resolution of customer technical and quality complaints
- Analyze and interpret requests for quotations, specifications, and engineering drawings for the purpose of determining manufacturing feasibility
- Provide fundamental information used to qualify an opportunity to the estimating team to ensure a cohesive cost/quoting strategy
- Participate in all aspects of preparing the quotation package and ensure that it is delivered to the customer as promised. This includes the technical, commercial, and competitive strategy appropriate for the selling opportunity
- Participate in and practice continuous improvement
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
- Strong program and project management skills working with a variety of customers and project scopes.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret contracts, technical procedures, and governmental regulations as needed
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw conclusions to develop solutions
- Proficient in Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
- Adept in using both CRM and MRP software

Plus, our Total Compensation Package is Beyond the Industry Average and includes the following:
· Base compensation is $ 70,000
· Profit-Sharing Bonus Program paid 3 times per year, eligible after being employed a full trimester. Trimester 1- October through January, Trimester 2- February through May Trimester 3- June through September

· Company Matched 401K up to 8%- Eligible to participate after 60 days. 401k plan has 5-year vesting schedule for company match.
