Position Description: 

 

Builds and synthesizes risk controls, customer friction points, and customer expectations into modern authentication and authorization platforms. Defines and manages the vision, strategy, roadmap, execution, financials, and scorecards for products within cybersecurity. Provides capabilities that ensures secure access to customer assets for investors and confidential personally identifiable information (PII). Leads all aspects of work across one or several products to deliver value to customers, clients, and internal partners. Draws on in-depth of the business or function to provide business unit wide solutions.  

 

Primary Responsibilities: 

 

  • Commissions competitive research to identify disruptive innovations, broader business and technology trends, and assumptions that may affect product and business strategy. 

  • Works closely with customer prospects, engineering, design, and cross-functional teams in building and supporting solutions. 

  • Leads projects with new and emerging technology and/or products in the early strategy and design stage. 

  • Leads the development and delivery of new products proposals with clear functionality, user value, time to market, and development requirements. 

  • Manages deliveries assigned to cross-functional teams, vendors, and business resources. 

  • Leads product planning processes and long-term strategies using Scrum at scale for incremental value delivery to customers. 

  • Identifies and launches growth initiatives, manages and facilitates cross enterprise initiatives, and address difficult operational issue 

  • Assesses and determines project prioritization. 

  • Manages service activities and/or client relationships by defining customer standards and service level agreements. 

  • Provides accountability for the financial management/budgeting process. 

  • Sets the vision, goals, and direction of the team and organization. 

  • Evaluates the overall effectiveness of organizational structure, guiding principles, and operating models, using industry and competitor benchmarks. 

  • Defines, refines, and communicates the teams’ mission and roadmap to empower and establish team and partner support and alignment.  

  • Coaches and mentors team leads.  

  • Defines, evaluates, and communicates results against acceptance criteria.  

  • Inspects and evaluates progress. 

  • Measures performance and stability against objectives and critical metrics and delivers agreed upon business, technology, and people results.  

  • Collaborates and coordinates with team leads to build squad capacity and capability, and enables team member growth, development, and learning. 

  • Makes informed trade-off decisions for a balance between quality, cost, and 

  • timelines. 

  • Develops and maintains relationships with key clients. 

  • Evaluates team effectiveness and proposes strategies for improvement.  

  • Manages resources – planning, finance, measurement, design, development, test, and deployment. 

  • Owns the development and delivery of new product proposals with clear functionality, user value, time to market, and development requirements. 

 

 

Education and Experience: 

 

Bachelor’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and six (6) years of experience as a Vice President, Product Management (or closely related occupation) implementing enterprise security solutions within a financial services environment.  

 

Or, alternatively, Master’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and four (4) years of experience as a Vice President, Product Management (or closely related occupation) implementing enterprise security solutions within a financial services environment. 

 

 

Skills and Knowledge: 

 

Candidate must also possess: 

 

  • Demonstrated Expertise (“DE”) developing web-based financial services applications using J2EE and Tomcat according to Spring and Hibernate frameworks; implementing Single Sign On (SSO) according to SAML2 standards; and utilizing certificates, hashing, and encryption to provide enterprise security solutions.   

  • DE managing Identity and Access Management (IAM) products, services, and features – username-password, biometric, password-less, two-factor, and multi-Factor authentication, user-risk evaluation (RBA and KBA), silent authenticators, OAuth 2.0, Delegated Access, OpenID Connect, SAML Bearer, JWT Bearer, and Open standards and protocols.  

  • DE managing the analysis, development, and business adoption of trusted secure identity platforms (identity management, proofing, and identity governance); and analyzing and interfacing with third party vendor products that provide solutions for IAM, identity proofing, resiliency, stability, and availability of applications -- integrating and migrating to Cloud based and Cloud Native services.  

  • DE driving authentication products and service roadmaps -- articulating lifecycle processes for customers, aligning customer needs with best-in-class authentication models that protect classified information, and prioritizing deliverables based on their value.
