Job Description
MUST HAVE ELECTROPLATING EXPERIENCE
The primary objective of this role is to drive business growth by acquiring new customers, entering new markets, and strengthening relationships with existing accounts. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated, well-organized professional with a background in both technical operations and business development within the aerospace, manufacturing, or metal finishing industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and secure new business opportunities across targeted industries and markets.
- Develop and execute short- and long-term sales strategies to meet company goals.
- Maintain and expand relationships with existing customers to support retention and growth.
- Serve as a technical advisor to customers by understanding their plating requirements and recommending solutions.
- Maintain and update the customer database, identifying opportunities for cross-selling and upselling.
- Measure customer satisfaction and proactively address any concerns.
- Negotiate pricing, timelines, and technical requirements to meet customer and company expectations.
- Coordinate internally across departments to ensure customer requirements are met on time and within scope.
- Contribute to pricing strategy, sales forecasting, and gross margin targets.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in sales or business development, preferably in aerospace or manufacturing sectors.
- Minimum 3+ years of hands-on experience in electroplating, anodizing, electroless nickel, or related metal finishing processes. (This is a must.)
- Proven ability to lead customer relationships from prospecting through closing and retention.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills; able to handle multiple priorities effectively.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and product specifications.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Positive, team-oriented attitude with a drive to succeed and grow the business.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field is preferred. Equivalent relevant work experience will also be considered.
