This position will support the Facilities project team with technical tasks including, but not limited to: conceptual site layout, water plant and wastewater treatment plant design: lift station and force main design: site grading, storm drain design; storm water management design, soil erosion and sedimentation control design; permitting and entitlement support; MUD Engineering support and construction support.
- Design using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Prepares engineers opinion of probably costs & design computations.
- Works closet applications for applicable jurisdictional agencies
- Prepares water plant and wastewater treatment plant submittal reports for TCEQ approval
- Assists with the preparation of project specifications
- Assists in production of final construction drawings
- Addresses comments from Land Development team & jurisdictional reviewers
- Ensures timesheets are submitted on time
- Mentors and assists with training Interns
- Maintains a good relationship with clients
- Works closely with:
- Land Development teams on their facility project needs, timing & required information
- Works closely with subconsultant team on facilities
- Works closely with the Construction Division for support during construction of facilities and MUD Engineers for support during planning phase and for maintenance of facilities
- Assists with project schedules and responsible for timely completion of projects for self & team members
- Keeps supervisor informed of work load and any changes in project scope or additional services
- Provides an accurate accounting of time spent on projects with descriptions for each time entry on a weekly basis
- Creates exhibits, KMZ files & GPS plots
Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited four-year college or university. 1-2 years+ related experience.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
Valid driver’s license
EIT Certification
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Excellent oral and technical written communication skills
- Strong sense of urgency and self-initiative to meet client deadlines
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Available to work nights and weekends to complete a project as necessary
- Ability to make independent decisions within a general framework
- Ability to supervise the work of other Staff Engineers and Cad Technicians
- Knowledge of industry related software
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Civil 3D and Microsoft Office(if applicable)
- Must be fluent in the English language
- Desire to learn & progress on path of increasing responsibility in your role
- Demonstrates ownership of assignments and growth in your role
