Day’s Jewelers is seeking a Business Analyst! The Business Analyst is responsible for reviewing, analyzing, and evaluating business system needs throughout the organization, with a strong emphasis on data analytics and reporting. This role requires proficiency in SQL to extract and analyze data across multiple platforms to support company-wide decision-making.


Summary of Job Responsibilities:

  • Determines operational objectives by studying business functions, gathering information, and evaluating output requirements and formats.
  • Prepares end-user reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends using SQL and other data analysis tools.
  • Writes and optimizes SQL queries to retrieve, manipulate, and analyze data from various relational databases.
  • Collaborates with IT and data teams to improve data accessibility, reliability, and reporting structures.
  • Develops dashboards and ad hoc reports using SQL and other business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Excel).
  • Assists the departments and stores with annual budget preparation and project-based activities.
  • Reviews and analyzes a variety of areas, including operations, buying, inventory, website, and facilities.
  • Suggests changes to senior management using analytics to support your recommendations and actively participates in the implementation of approved changes.
  • Collects and analyzes web analytics and similar data; identifies opportunities to improve search engine optimization (SEO), time on site, web traffic, and other relevant metrics.

Requirements

  • Proficient in SQL and other programming languages for data analysis and automation. Experience with Microsoft PowerBi preferred.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
  • Five years of hands-on corporate business analysis or similar.

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
