The Opportunity

Perform a range of accounting responsibilities including account reconciliation, operational support for many states, information verification and analysis, report preparation, inventory control, account payable and problem solving.


This role is hybrid based in our Jacksonville, FL office.


What You Will Do

  • Perform daily bank account reconciliation of deposits, withdrawals, chargebacks and ACH/check returns.
  • Reconcile and verify bank deposits and payments.
  • Research and resolve customer account discrepancies.
  • Proof information that is input into software.
  • Post and adjust payments and conduct daily cash reconciliation.
  • Analyze customer accounts and payment history.
  • Performs analyses to detect patterns, trends, anomalies and schemes in transactions and relationships across multiple businesses/products.
  • Works with management to identify incidents/trends and utilizes fraud loss scenarios to develop training for staff.
  • Gathers and analyzes evidence needed to conduct investigations.
  • Process and reconcile transactions of complex nature.
  • Reconcile and rectify customer ledger accounts.
  • Maintain appropriate files, reports, documentation and data.
  • Ensure timely follow-up when necessary.
  • Adhere to corporate standards and procedures in reconciliation clerical activities.
  • Generate monthly bank reconciliations.
  • Perform Accounts Payable functions.
  • Create and maintain spreadsheets for reconcilement using Excel. 
  • Adhere to strict deadlines.
  • Other Duties as assigned.

Requirements

  

What You Will Need to Succeed

  • Two or more years of Banking/Financial or accounting experience or college degree in relevant field.
  • Self-starter and highly motivated
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills
  • Strong mathematical abilities
  • Ability to quickly to learn internal web-based tools and applications.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications Excel and Word, and other financial software programs; knowledge of any accounting software.
  • Multi-task oriented, self-starter, deadline-driven, planning, organization, time-management, detail-oriented, teamwork, customer-driven
  • Required proficiency in MS Word, Excel or comparable products
  • Ability to effectively communicate with internal and external parties with self-confidence
