Finance and Operations Communications Manager

The Boeing CompanyThe Boeing Company seeks a Finance and Operations Communications Manager to be based in Seattle; WA; Chicago; IL; Berkeley, MO, or Arlington, VA. This role will report into the Public Affairs, Advocacy and Operations team and dotted line into the Corporate and Employee team to lead financial communications and manage Communications Operations.
This strategic role will give the candidate exposure and experiences to some of the most important business strategies and decision makers within Boeing. The ideal candidate will have a foundational understanding of Boeing’s business, ability to work across teams within and outside of Communications and have a curiosity to learn the world of financial communications. Additionally, this role will work with the Communication Leadership Team to build and execute a stable operating rhythm.
Position Responsibilities:
Finance Communications
Leads quarterly earnings rhythm including key message development, CEO scripts, employee communications and media engagements, in partnership with Investor Relations, CEO Communications and Media Relations
Supports quarterly Finance all-team meetings
Partners with key stakeholders on Annual Meeting of Shareholders, Proxy Statement and other key financial milestones
Ensures business unit communications strategies, messaging and media responses are in alignment with company’s financial messaging and positions
Operations
Oversees the operating rhythm for the Communications function, including scheduling, planning, and facilitating regular leadership team meetings, all-team meetings and strategic planning sessions
Supports the function’s annual operating budget in coordination with Finance, including budget planning, tracking and reporting
Manages team responsible for engagement and performance of consultants, vendors, and suppliers to ensure delivery of high-quality communications services and compliance with company policies
Maintains systems for tracking function priorities and key performance metrics, including the company scorecard
Manages materials for ExCo and Board meetings
Oversees the SVP of Communications & Brand’s internal and external positioning and communications (e.g. all team emails, webcasts, speaking engagements, etc.); partner with Executive Communications team on execution
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor’s degree in communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field
5+ years of experience working in communications
5+ years of experience in written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to craft engaging content for diverse audiences
3+ years of experience demonstrating project management skills
3+ years of experience developing and maintain relationships and partnerships with senior executives, stakeholders, and cross-functional partners
3+ years of experience managing multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks, and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment
3+ years in leveraging data analytics to inform strategy and measure engagement outcomes

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary pay range: $127,500 - $185,150
