Job Title: Community Health Programs Coordinator
Reports to: Vice President of Community Programs
Location: Corporate-Weeks Bldg. Downtown Miami
Pay rate: $45,000 annualized
Summary: Responsible for coordinating, implementing, and supporting a variety of YWCA South Florida health initiatives across Miami-Dade and Broward Counties. This role involves planning and facilitating health education activities, conducting outreach, maintaining community partnerships, supporting data and fiscal management, and ensuring culturally responsive service delivery. The Coordinator plays a key role in advancing the organization’s mission to eliminate health disparities and promote wellness in underserved communities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned
as needed to support program effectiveness and organizational goals.
Program Coordination and Delivery
- Coordinates day-to-day implementation of health education workshops, outreach events, and wellness programming in alignment with grant and organizational goals.
- Develops and delivers presentations and educational sessions on a wide range of health topics, including prevention, wellness, reproductive health, mental health, and chronic disease.
- Assists with scheduling of screenings, curriculum development, supply coordination, and on-site logistics.
- Recruits program participants through community outreach, presentations, canvassing, email blasts, referrals, and partner collaboration.
- Ensures services are delivered in a culturally competent and community-centered manner, particularly within Hispanic, Black, African American, and Haitian populations.
Community Engagement and Outreach
- Builds and sustains collaborative relationships with public, private, and nonprofit partners to expand outreach and service delivery.
- Represents YWCA South Florida at community health fairs, events, and meetings to raise awareness and increase program engagement.
- Develops, distributes, and maintains health education materials and community resource guides tailored to local populations.
- Attends community meetings, health fairs, and events to promote the program and build partnerships.
Administrative and Reporting Duties
- Maintains accurate client records, assessments, attendance logs, satisfaction surveys, and outcome tracking.
- Prepares monthly, quarterly, and annual reports in alignment with funder and internal requirements.
- Tracks program benchmarks, compiles data, and analyzes trends to inform continuous improvement.
- Assists with intake and referral processes for new and returning clients, ensuring access to appropriate services and follow-ups.
- Supports the development and maintenance of client case files and documentation for compliance.
Budget, Compliance, and Operations
- Assists with maintaining program budgets, including tracking expenses, processing purchase orders, and submitting invoices.
- Ensures compliance with all program policies, procedures, and funding requirements.
- Orders, inventories, and monitors health education materials, incentives, and supplies.
- Participates in financial reporting and supports grant management processes as required.
Engagement and Communications
- Maintains the program’s online presence via social media, web platforms, and digital communications.
- Collaborates with the communications team to highlight program activities and success stories.
- Uses digital tools to enhance community engagement and information sharing.
Program Sustainability and Development
- Identifies and builds relationships with new and existing program partners.
- Supports grant writing, fundraising, and donor engagement efforts by contributing to proposals and identifying new opportunities.
- Conducts periodic reviews of revenues, expenditures, and performance indicators.
- Participates in evaluation, strategic planning, and program enhancement initiatives.
Team Collaboration and General Support
- Maintains excellent working relationships with co-workers and partners, contributing to a collaborative and inclusive team environment.
- Provides support to the Division Director and other staff to ensure smooth program operations and strategic alignment.
- Commutes to community outreach sites, partner organizations, and vendor locations using a personal vehicle.
- Performs other related duties as assigned to support the mission of YWCA South Florida.

Requirements
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree (BA/BS) required, from an accredited college/university in Public Health, Human Services, or related field of study and two-five years of related experience preferably in a related non-profit environment or equivalent combination of education and experience. Master’s Degree preferred. Knowledge of the impacts of the social determinants of and women’s health issues preferred. Considerable knowledge of local, state, federal and non-profit resources available to the local citizenry.
Language Ability:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before a group of costumers or employees of organization. Bilingual skills in Haitian Creole and/or Spanish highly preferred.
Math Ability:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret graphs.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Ability analyze and investigate requests from the public and coordinate effective service delivery.
Computer skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have a working knowledge of Microsoft 365 applications to include Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams, and Word.
