Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of participants by providing appropriate supervision and creating a supportive, inclusive environment. Plan and implement age-appropriate, engaging activities in areas such as arts, STEM, character development, physical fitness, and nutrition. Prepare learning environments and support culminating performances. Assist with homework and maintain accurate documentation. Communicate YMCA core values and program goals to participants and caregivers, and participate in training sessions and meetings.
Requirements and Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; college credits preferred
- Minimum of two years of experience working with youth under 13 in a group setting
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Strong interpersonal skills and leadership qualities
- Comfortable working with diverse youth and adults
- Availability to work Monday through Friday from 2:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
