Job Description
Description
Join Xona Space Systems and contribute to the development of next-generation satellite navigation by designing and testing critical electrical subsystems. As an Electrical Engineer, you’ll work alongside experienced team members to support the full lifecycle of satellite hardware, from design through integration and testing.
What You’ll Do:
- Design and develop electrical subsystems, including avionics, power distribution, and interconnect systems
- Collaborate with senior engineers to integrate electrical systems with other satellite subsystems (Power, Structural, Software, MAIT)
- Participate in hardware design reviews, schematic capture, and layout reviews
- Support the development and execution of electrical test plans, from breadboard prototypes to flight hardware
- Troubleshoot and debug electrical systems using lab equipment (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, power meters, etc.)
- Source electrical components and verify compliance with system requirements
- Assist in creating electrical interface documentation for satellite subsystems
- Contribute to assembly, integration, and test (AIT) activities, including system-level validation
Requirements
- B.S. in Electrical Engineering or a related field (recent graduates or those with limited industry experience are encouraged to apply)
- Familiarity with electrical design and simulation tools (e.g., Altium, KiCad, Spice)
- Basic understanding of electronics, power systems, and signal integrity, with an eagerness to learn about space-specific applications
- Hands-on experience with electrical testing and debugging (e.g. oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, power meters)
- A collaborative, team-oriented mindset and the ability to communicate effectively
- A passion for learning and growing in the aerospace industry
- To comply with U.S. Government space technology export regulations, applicant must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the United States (i.e. Green Card holder), or other protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)
Desired Qualifications
- Exposure to satellite systems, avionics, or electrical power systems (EPS)
