Parke County REMC is a nonprofit and member-owned electric cooperative. Incorporated in 1937 by a group of rural citizens, it exists today to distribute quality service and electricity to the members in portions of six counties: Parke, Putnam, Clay, Vigo, Montgomery and Fountain.
​Parke County Rural Electric Membership Corporation (REMC), is located at 5001 E US Highway 36, Rockville IN 47872. As your utility, we serve over 9,000 residential, commercial, and industrial members and are governed by a board of seven member-elected directors who oversee the general business affairs of the cooperative. Parke County REMC has full time employees that are ready to serve your electrical and member needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the Finance, Accounting, HR, and IT departments
  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning
  • Prepares monthly, quarterly, and year-end reporting
  • Monitor risk management and ensure regulatory compliance
  • Prepare and present financial reports to the board
  • Coordinate the annual audit with external auditors
  • Reviews payroll and calculates annual capital credit allocations
  • Advise the CEO on financial and strategic matters
  • Present at Board Meetings and serve as a key organizational leader

Qualifications

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 5+ years of leadership experience in accounting/finance
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting
  • Proficient in accounting software and financial modeling tools
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and leadership skills
  • Committed to confidentiality and ethical standards
