Summary/Objective
The Maintenance Manager will oversee all aspects of Maintenance operations, ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our manufacturing equipment and facilities. This role involves developing maintenance strategies, leading a skilled team, and collaborating with various departments to support manufacturing goals.


Essential Functions

· Daily On-Site Attendance.

· Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and extend equipment life across the facility.

· Manage and mentor a team of Maintenance Technicians, promoting a culture of safety, accountability, technical excellence, and continuous improvement.

· Oversee the maintenance and performance of all manufacturing equipment, including critical production assets, ensuring compliance with industry standards and operational reliability.

· Develop and manage the department budget, balancing cost control with long-term capital investment in equipment and systems.

· Ensure all maintenance operations comply with OSHA regulations, environmental standards, and internal safety procedures.

· Identify and implement process improvements, automation opportunities, and technology upgrades to optimize plant reliability and performance.

· Lead strategic capital planning efforts for facility and equipment upgrades, expansions, and replacements in coordination with VanTran Leadership and Finance teams.

· Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess equipment performance, team efficiency, and maintenance impact on production throughput.

· Drive cross-functional collaboration with Operations, Engineering, and Quality to ensure alignment of maintenance initiatives with business objectives.

· Conduct root cause analyses (RCAs) for major equipment failures, leading cross-functional teams in the development of corrective and preventive actions.

· Champion asset lifecycle management by evaluating total cost of ownership (TCO) and recommending equipment upgrades or replacements.

· Lead vendor management for maintenance-related contractors, service providers, and suppliers, ensuring performance, safety, and cost-effectiveness.

· Implement training and development programs to upskill Maintenance Department staff and ensure readiness for evolving equipment and technologies.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has direct supervisory responsibility over direct reports in the Maintenance & Facilities Department.

Environment/Physical Requirements

The ideal candidate must be able to complete all physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation. 

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to access and navigate each department in the Office and Factory Floor.
  • Prolonged periods of walking and standing on factory floor. 

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm. However, depending on workload there may be occasional longer days and occasional weekends as needed. Employee is expected to work the hours necessary in order to timely and satisfactorily complete all necessary work tasks.


Travel
Travel is not required for this position.


Education and Experience

· Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field required.

· Minimum of 10 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.

· Proficiency in maintenance management systems, understanding of electrical and mechanical systems, and familiarity with transformer manufacturing processes required.
