Purpose
This position supports the CNS facilities team by overseeing reservable spaces, assisting with small-scale facilities projects, and supervising facilities student workerforce.
Responsibilities
Lead operations and user support for reservable and communal college spaces (conference rooms, event spaces, etc.) Manage the college’s reservation system and serve as a primary point of contact for inquiries related to space use. Inspect spaces regularly for cleanliness and condition; coordinate with facility managers on maintenance needs and follow-ups.
Assist in the execution of small facilities projects, including: Documenting space quality and physical dimensions. Coordinating with clients, vendors, and contractors to fulfill project scopes involving flooring, painting, and furnishings. Supporting larger facilities initiatives led by other CNS staff.
Contribute to the completion of business-related tasks within CNS facilities team, such as: Facilitating procurement processes and tracking purchasing requests and purchase orders. Maintaining financial tracking spreadsheets for CNS facilities accounts. Analyzing and reporting on facilities data, including space audits, utilization trends, and resource planning.
Supervise the CNS student workforce: Manage student schedules and coordinate assignments from other facilities team members. Ensure quality and timely completion of student-led tasks.
Other responsibilities and functions as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in business, science, engineering, technology, construction, management, or related field with four years of relevant experience.
Demonstrated career progression with increasing responsibility in project management
Strong ability to work independently and collaboratively
Ability to quickly learn and effectively use software tools
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Highly collaborative, team-focused mindset
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in a facilities role within a higher education environment
Proven success communicating with a range of audiences using professional, clear, and adaptable messaging
Driving Required
This job requires a class "C" operator's driver's license. The applicant must provide a three-year driving record from the current state of residence. If not currently a Texas resident, a Texas driver's license must be obtained within 30 days of becoming a Texas resident.
Salary Range
$48,000 + depending upon qualifications
