Job Description
We seek a professional, friendly, organized front desk receptionist to join our growing team in West Union, SC. You will coordinate all functions necessary for an efficient and productive patient flow between check-in, treatment, and check-out. You will serve as the main point of contact for all non-clinical patient services, which includes managing the patient scheduling process, collecting, posting, and depositing patient payments, maintaining patient charts and electronic medical records, keeping the front desk area organized, and providing excellent customer service to our patients.
Clinic hours are 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM.
Job Duties:
- Obtains and enters new patient demographics; updates patient information, as necessary, in the computer system to maintain accuracy for billing.
- Obtains insurance information as required by office policies.
- Verify insurance benefits/obtain authorizations as needed to process patients for services
- Collect all co-pays and balances, as required by office policies.
- Review all forms for accuracy and completion according to office policies.
- Schedules patient appointments at check-out.
- Answers phones and transfers to appropriate staff
- One of the key responsibilities of the front desk receptionist is to maintain a clean and orderly waiting area, contributing to the overall patient experience and reflecting our commitment to providing quality care.
- Adheres to HIPAA regulations and guidelines, ensuring the utmost privacy and trust for our patients.
- Completes additional tasks to assist the Director and Practice Manager as necessary, providing an opportunity to learn and grow within the healthcare administration field.
Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent
- 1+ years of previous medical front office experience
- Excellent telephone skills
- Proficient in Word and Excel
- Previous experience with medical software preferred
- Available and flexible with your hours
- Close attention to detail
- Great time management and organizational skills
- Team player attitude and energetic with a focus on excellent customer service
