General Job Summary
The Commercial Finance Assistant is responsible for working with the UIF Commercial Staff and Support Staff to assist in service, maintenance, and growth of the UIF commercial portfolio. The assistant will provide primary support to VP of Commercial Finance and UIF Commercial Staff. Duties include general clerical, data entry, customer support, file organization, and project-based work. This person will assist in managing the day-to-day workflow needs and will maintain a professional company image through in person, digital, and mobile interactions.
Summary of Essential Job Functions
- Assist with pipeline management of current clients, future clients and prospect files.
- Customer follow up to gather financial data, application and approval documentation.
- Assistance with post-closing items (escrows, audits, statement requests, annual financial collection)
- Clerical/Office Assistant duties including but not limited to phone/email management, mail/overnight items, company meeting organization, supplies management, copy/scan/fax documents.
- Day-to-Day communication with Credit and Operations staff to assist in compliance and documentation requirements.
- Organization of client files and documents, and submission to Credit Team staff.
- CRM data entry and maintenance as needed.
- Assistance in projects as needed.
Other Job Functions
- All other duties as assigned by management.
- Complete all assigned training in a timely manner.
Requirements
Education, Training and Work Experience
- High School diploma or GED required.
- At least 2 years Sales/Clerical/Office Assistant experience desired.
- Mortgage experience desired.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Maintain & foster positive relationships with customers and business partners.
- Strong computer skills required such as Microsoft (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams), and Adobe.
- Provide professional communication in both oral & written expression.
- Ability to prioritize.
- Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external contacts.

- Ability to follow instructions.

Working Environment
Primary working environment is within an indoor climate-controlled office space and/or a private home office or some combination which will be at managements sole discretion. Employee may be subject to florescent lighting, dust, and other normal indoor allergens. Employee may work in close proximity of coworkers and occasionally independently in quiet environments.
Physical Requirements
- Able to lift up to 20 pounds
- Extended periods of sitting (at computer desk)
- Complete repetitive tasks (including operation of computer mouse/keyboard)
- Ability and means to travel on a flexible schedule as needed
- May be required to work outside standard business hours
