GroupeSTAHL is a leading international manufacturer, distributor and direct supplier in the field of custom textile printing.
What you'll be doing:
The Business Development Manager – Gift and Outdoor will be responsible for driving sales of licensed products into the Gift, Golf, and Outdoor markets. This role will focus on developing new business opportunities, building strong relationships with key accounts, and expanding market share by leveraging the strengths of the Groupe Stahl Global Fan Division. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business development, experience with licensed products, and an understanding of the retail and e-commerce landscape. Additionally, this role will involve managing and overseeing outside sales representatives selling into these channels to ensure effective market penetration and revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales & Business Development:
- Identify, target, and develop new business opportunities within the Gift, Golf, and Outdoor sectors.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key retailers, distributors, and sales groups.
- Develop and execute sales strategies to meet and exceed revenue targets.
- Negotiate and close contracts with retailers and distribution partners.
- Manage and oversee outside sales representatives to ensure alignment with business goals and maximize market reach.
- Provide training, support, and performance evaluations for external sales reps to drive sales effectiveness.
Strategic Market Expansion:
- Conduct market research to identify trends, customer preferences, and competitive positioning.
- Develop tailored sales strategies to increase penetration in targeted retail sectors.
- Work closely with internal teams to develop new product offerings based on market demand.
- Collaborate with marketing and branding teams to enhance product visibility and consumer engagement.
Customer Relationship Management:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for key accounts, ensuring satisfaction and repeat business.
- Develop long-term strategic partnerships with retailers, golf courses, outdoor retailers, and sales agencies.
- Provide exceptional customer service and after-sales support to strengthen client relationships.
Operations & Logistics Coordination:
- Collaborate with supply chain and logistics teams to ensure efficient fulfillment and on-time delivery.
- Provide input into inventory forecasting and management to align with market demand.
- Optimize pricing structures to maintain competitiveness while ensuring healthy margins.
What we are looking for:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in business development, sales, or account management, preferably within the licensed product industry.
- Proven track record of successfully selling licensed products into the Gift, Golf, or Outdoor markets.
- Strong understanding of retail distribution and merchandising.
- Excellent negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.
- Ability to develop and execute sales strategies that drive revenue growth.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams to develop and deliver customized product solutions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt to changing market conditions.
- Experience in managing and overseeing external sales representatives to drive market growth and ensure sales objectives are met.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in working with major retailers, team stores, and e-commerce platforms.
- Knowledge of heat printing, embroidery, or other customization techniques.
- Familiarity with CRM and order management systems.
- Passion for sports, licensed products, and fan engagement strategies.
