Job Description

Position: SAP Delivery Manager

Locations: 2 Innovation Way, Pomona, CA 91768 (or) 2244 Walnut Grove Avenue, Rosemead, CA 91770  (This is a hybrid role with in-office days on Wed and Thurs)

Job Description:

Experience Required:

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience delivering large-scale SAP transformation programs in SAP S/4HANA Finance, preferably using RISE in a private cloud environment.
  • Preferably experienced in the utility or an asset-intensive industry.
  • Demonstrated experience managing program plans, vendor deliverables, and project governance across multiple stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of SAP-enabled solutions within the Finance workstream, including core SAP S/4HANA, MDG, satellite SAP applications (e.g., BW4HANA, Datasphere, SAC), SAP certified applications (e.g., Blackline, OneSource Global Next, Open Text Vendor Invoice Management, Taulia), and remediations to non-SAP applications (e.g., Power Plan, Tagetik, UI Planner).
  • Create, maintain, and monitor a detailed project plan for Technology Integration activities, considering coordinated delivery based on milestones and release plans, including cutover planning and execution.
  • Perform day-to-day project management of execution across multiple Finance teams, the System Integrator, internal and external partners, ensuring progress, milestone achievement, and quality deliverables.
  • Anticipate, raise, and/or work to mitigate risks and issues impacting scope, schedule, and resources.
  • Provide inputs to sprint planning using a Product Oriented Delivery (POD) based hybrid Agile methodology and participate in sprints across concurrent workstreams to gain insight into progress and report on deviations and/or roadblocks.
  • Manage cross-functional delivery teams through detailed design and build phases.
  • Monitor the execution of various test plans (SIT/UAT/Performance/Regression), participate in cutover plan preparation and deployment.
  • Provide post-implementation hyper care by triaging daily issues and ensuring a smooth transition to operations activities to stabilize deployed solutions.
  • Ensure continuity by completing transition activities to support teams.

Required Skills and Knowledge:

  • Good understanding of end-to-end Finance business processes, including general ledger, accounts receivable/payable, cost/management accounting, close and consolidations, project systems, fixed asset accounting, billing through cash management, contract and lease management, financial planning & analysis, and reporting/analytics.
  • Functional knowledge or exposure to three or more Finance related applications such as Blackline, iCertis, OneSource Global Next, Open Text Vendor Invoice Management, Power Plan, Taulia, Tagetik, UI Planner, Utegration Finance4U Regulatory Accounting & Reporting is desired.
  • Familiarity with SAP Cloud ALM, system monitoring tools, and Agile project tracking platforms.
  • Skilled at building consensus across matrixed teams and managing relationships with executive sponsors and third-party vendors.
  • Excellent organization and problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt in dynamic, fast-paced environments.
  • Strong communication skills (verbal, written, presentation), capable of conveying complex concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Self-starter who takes initiative to work across teams to meet project deliverables.

Education and Certifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in information systems, Finance/Accounting, or a related field.
  • PMP certification is welcome.
