Job Description

Provide Human Resource services to the assigned client departments. Counsel and advise managers regarding company policies, practices, and procedures. Lead and/or provide significant support to HR projects to improve processes. 

  • Provide Human Resources support to assigned U.S.-based client groups, offering guidance on policies, procedures, and employment best practices
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for U.S. employee mobility, including all visa-related matters (H-1B, student visas, green cards), partnering closely with Legal and Global Mobility
  • Advise managers on complex employee relations matters, terminations, and organizational changes; ensure compliance with U.S. labor law and internal standards
  • Act as the trusted HR liaison for cross-functional reorganization efforts and workforce planning, with deep knowledge of U.S. employment regulations
  • Lead and support key HR initiatives and cyclical processes such as performance reviews, engagement surveys, and policy reviews
  • Recommend and implement HR process improvements that drive operational efficiency and employee experience
  • Monitor and interpret U.S. regulatory and compliance requirements; ensure policies remain current and in line with legal obligations and John Crane standards
  • Deliver HR-related training sessions as needed; must be confident in presenting and communicating complex concepts to diverse audiences
  • Regular onsite presence required: 4 days/week at the Morton Grove office
  • Willingness to travel up to 25%, primarily for training or project-based needs
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Requires a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources management
  • Minimum 5 years human resources experience 
  • Professional certification desired
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Previous broad HR experience essential (Shared Services experience preferred)
  • Internantional mobility experience
