Job Description

We currently have an excellent opportunity for an analytical and data-driven individual to join our team as our Demand & Supply Planner in our Broomfield, CO office.

The Demand and Supply Planner – North America will ensure the right inventory is available to meet customer demand and business plans for Sea to Summit across North America business.  The position is responsible for leading demand, supply, and inventory planning for North America business. This position will regularly communicate and interact with regional and global teams including Commercial, Sales, Operations, Marketing, and Finance.

This role proactively highlights and addresses supply chain risks and issues that could affect the business particularly in relation to demand trends and customer service impacts while working collaboratively with other business units to improve and deliver accurate, robust and timely forecasts. This individual must thrive in a fast-paced environment and be capable of prioritizing and managing multiple projects simultaneously.

The Demand and Supply Planner – North America will have a dual reporting relationship with the North America GM and Planning Manager This position will work in tandem with various departments and maintain a flexible attitude, supporting all the work that helps in achieving organizational goals.

Position Duties

  • Develop and maintain a monthly rolling forecast leveraging historical data, market trends, and sales input. Utilize both a “Tops Down” and “Bottoms Up” methodology.
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to align forecasts with promotional activities and seasonal trends.
  • Lead and manage the regional demand review process and demand related activities of the S&OP process.
  • Monitor and adjust forecasts based on market dynamics, ensuring optimal stock levels.
  • Place orders as per purchase schedule
  • Establish and manage inventory targets based on service level goals, lead time constraints, and product criticality, with a focus on minimizing excess and obsolete stock whilst ensuring availability
  • Work closely with supply chain teams to ensure inventory levels align with forecasted demand.
  • Responsible for the management of intercompany inventory between NA entities with the aim of efficient and effective execution of goods imports, stock transfers, goods receipts and invoicing.
  • Work with virtual warehouse network to balance inventory requirements through North America and Canada
  • Participation in regional and global supply-chain / logistics projects.
  • Work closely with the Planning team to provide accurate data reporting and market insights.
  • Proactively highlight and address supply chain risks and issues that could affect the business particularly in relation to demand trends and customer service impacts
  • Assist in product lifecycle management, identifying opportunities for new products or rationalizing underperforming SKUs.
  • Demonstrate “nimbility” by providing cross-functional support as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business, Economics, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in demand planning, forecasting, or supply chain management, preferably in consumer goods or outdoor products
  • Strong understanding and practical experience in merchandise management concepts and metrics
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work across regional and global teams
  • Familiarity with sales forecasting, tracking and metrics
  • Proficiency in demand planning
  • Experience with data base systems (SAP, etc) and ability to extract and analyze data to communicate to sales, service and executive teams.
  • Advanced knowledge of relevant IT tools (ERP, WMS, Excel, Power BI or similar)
  • Superior time management, multi-tasking, and organizational skills

Additional Information

This is a full-time office-based position (2 remote work days); located in Broomfield, Colorado. The salary range for this role is $75,000 - $95,000 with the starting salary around the mid point of this range.
