Position Title: Social Media Community Engager (Pinterest)
Location: S.H.A.R.E. Community Development Corp Company Headquarters, Houston, Texas
Employment Type: Part-Time, 20 hours per week

Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, Flexible 4-hour shift starting between 8:00 AM and 12:00 PM, ending 4 hours later

Compensation: $25 USD / hour.

IMPORTANT: WE ARE HIRING IMMEDIATELY. Candidates with immediate availability will be preferred. This is a Part-Time, in office W2 job.


Overview  

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Social Media Community Engager to manage our company’s Pinterest account. The role focuses on posting company-provided content, crafting engaging questions to drive interaction, growing the account’s follower base, and engaging with the Pinterest community to promote our brand, products, and services. The successful candidate will work at our company headquarters using a company-provided computer, ensuring alignment with our brand’s vision and goals.


Key Responsibilities

  • Content Posting: Schedule and post company-provided content (images, videos, etc.) on Pinterest, optimizing posts for maximum reach and engagement using Pinterest-specific tools like Rich Pins and Idea Pins.
  • Engagement: Write compelling, keyword-rich questions and descriptions for posts to encourage user interaction, such as saves, comments, and clicks.
  • Community Building: Engage with other Pinterest users by commenting on relevant pins, joining Group Boards, and repinning content to foster relationships and increase brand visibility.
  • Follower Growth: Implement strategies to grow the account’s follower count, including optimizing board titles, descriptions, and profiles with SEO-friendly keywords and leveraging Pinterest Trends.
  • Brand Promotion: Promote the company’s products and services through thoughtful engagement and strategic pinning, driving awareness and interest in our offerings.
  • Analytics Monitoring: Use Pinterest Analytics to track performance metrics (impressions, saves, clicks, follower growth) and adjust strategies to meet engagement and growth goals.
  • Collaboration: Provide feedback to the content creation team based on analytics and audience preferences to ensure content aligns with Pinterest’s visual and search-driven platform.
  • Compliance: Adhere to company IT policies, brand guidelines, and Pinterest’s community standards while working on a company computer at headquarters. We will be monitoring adherence to the 4-hour per day requirement asking employees to check-in and out utilizing a Time-Tracking platform.

Requirements

 Qualifications

  • Proven experience managing social media accounts, with a strong emphasis on Pinterest.
  • Deep understanding of Pinterest’s unique features, including Rich Pins, Idea Pins, Group Boards, Pinterest Trends, and keyword-driven search functionality.
  • Ability to craft engaging, SEO-optimized questions and descriptions tailored to Pinterest’s audience.
  • Strong communication skills and a friendly, professional tone for community engagement.
  • Familiarity with Pinterest Analytics and other tools for scheduling and trend analysis.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively during a 4-hour shift.
  • Comfortable working in an office environment using company-provided equipment.
  • Passion for building communities and promoting brand awareness through visual storytelling.

Work Environment

  • Work at company headquarters on a company-provided computer.
  • 4-hour daily shift (Monday–Friday), starting between 8:00 AM–12:00 PM, aligned with peak Pinterest audience hours.
  • Collaborate with marketing and content teams in-person as needed.
