This is an exciting opportunity to work with cross functional teams if you are passionate about aerospace engineering, in-service operational support, analytics and coding.
The Civil Trent Fleet & Mature Engines (TFM) team is seeking an Engine / Prognostic Health Management (EHM / PHM) Engineer. EHM / PHM engineering is a Lifecycle Engineering sub-capability in the Engineering for Services organization. The role will lead EHM / PHM system definition and
integration for products, develop diagnostics and predictive algorithms, analyze and model the in-service attributes related to the Engine and Equipment Health, manage products EHM / PHM trigger levels, and provide service data analysis to assist event investigations and root cause analysis of reliability and safety issues.

What you will be doing
With this attractive opportunity you will get a chance to:
- Performing system level analysis to understand the behavior of the in-service application to provide support for engineering investigations.
- Providing customer interface for in-service and system health related issues, including direct email communications, giving technical presentations, and publishing reports documenting engineering analysis.
- Integrating and maturing in-service systems for functional data including in-service data reduction model, data portal systems, and database systems.
- Developing and maintaining algorithms and techniques to detect and predict imminent system level failures such as performance and control, oil and fuel systems, and vibration.
- Software development on database and analytical tools in order to sustain the AE 2100, AE 3007, RB211, and Trent fleets.
- Collaborating with other EHM / PHM teams across engine products and the engineering capability to use best practices, to develop good knowledge management practices (processes, tools and methods)

Basic Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Computer Science and 2+ years of experience in PHM/EHM system design, aerospace engineering, data analysis, data engineering, or software development
- Master's Degree in Engineering or Computer Science
- Must be U.S. Citizen or a U.S Permanent Resident to be considered for this opportunity
Preferred Requirements:
- Degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering with propulsion system design, analytical, and coding background.
- Experience in aerospace - especially gas turbine engine, system engineering processes, performance and control, vibration, or oil system, aircraft mission analysis, and Equipment/Prognostic Health Management (EHM / PHM) methods.
- Experience with computational modeling and data analysis such as JMP, and programing experience such as in SQL, Python, and Git.
- Experience presenting to internal and external audiences on critical topics.
- Demonstrated the ability to work autonomously across a broader ambiguous / complex area and independently leads projects to deliver solutions.
