Rockstar is seeking an HR Generalist for our Carlsbad, CA office. This is an amazing opportunity to grow your career in HR, learning to excel in all areas of the HR function.

This is a full-time, in-office position based out of Rockstar’s state-of-the-art game development studio in Carlsbad, CA.
WHAT WE DO
- The Rockstar Games HR Team is responsible for providing the tools and support to empower our employees to reach their greatest potential.
- We partner with company leadership to drive proactive strategies of engagement, wellbeing, operations, and learning & organizational development.
- We collaborate with our global HR Partners to develop new initiatives and programs to bring out the best in our teams and the company.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support all new hire onboarding tasks and processes, from hand-off by Talent Acquisition to the post-first-day experience.
- Act as point of contact for all timekeeping issues to ensure accuracy and completeness for payroll and reporting requirements.
- Maintain our HRIS (Workday) to ensure employee information is updated and accurate.
- Support, manage, and communicate all compliance related policies and best practices for the studios.
- Support and coordinate benefits-related programs and policies.
- Manage the entire leave of absence process.
- Assist with the termination process as needed.
- Support projects and partner with our COEs, from Learning & Organizational Development and HR Operations.
- Work collaboratively and flexibly with the Development teams as required across all Rockstar studios.
- Support the Senior HR team with ad-hoc projects and initiatives.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of experience in HR or related field.
- Experience with Workday (HRIS).
- Passion for Rockstar and our games.
- Always display approachability and professionalism.
- Always demonstrate discretion and confidentiality, while working in the best interest of the company.
SKILLS
- Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage competing priorities effectively ensuring that all relevant parties are informed of project status/changes.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and respond to changing priorities.
PLUSES

- Previous HR experience within the Creative Industries – video games, film, television, music – would be beneficial.

The pay range for this position in San Diego at the start of employment is expected to be between the range below* per year. However, base pay offered is based on market location, and may vary further depending on individualized factors for job candidates, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to those same considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a bonus and/or equity awards, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
