Job Description
Are you a cybersecurity professional with a passion for helping organizations build secure, compliant, and resilient environments? Join our growing team as a Senior Cybersecurity Consultant and work directly with clients to design and implement solutions that align with regulatory requirements, modern cloud infrastructures, and real-world threat scenarios.
We are seeking a seasoned and strategic Cybersecurity Consultant with expertise in regulatory compliance, cloud security, incident response, security awareness training, and virtual CISO (vCISO) services. In this role, you will work closely with clients to assess risk, strengthen cybersecurity programs, and align security initiatives with industry frameworks such as NIST, HIPAA, PCI DSS, ISO 27001, and CIS Controls. You will conduct security assessments, cloud environment reviews, and help develop and implement scalable security policies and technical controls.
This is a remote role. Candidates in Eastern or Central Time Zones are preferred, but this is not a hard requirement.
Consider your day-to-day responsibilities in this role:
- Conduct comprehensive cyber risk assessments to identify threats, vulnerabilities, and business impacts.
- Lead cybersecurity assessments aligned with frameworks such as NIST Cybersecurity Framework, NIST 800-171, HIPAA, PCI DSS, ISO 27001, and CIS Controls.
- Evaluate and strengthen cloud security architectures across AWS, Azure, and GCP environments.
- Develop and implement security policies, technical controls, and remediation strategies.
- Develop and implement security awareness training programs and assist clients in creating a culture of security.
- Provide vCISO services including cybersecurity strategy development, governance leadership, and executive-level risk reporting.
- Design and facilitate incident response plans and tabletop exercises to ensure clients are prepared for real-world threats.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity consulting or advisory services.
- Strong understanding of cyber risk management, regulatory compliance, and cloud security principles.
- Experience performing cyber risk assessments and developing prioritized remediation plans.
- Background in delivering vCISO services or leading security program initiatives.
- Skilled in developing and testing incident response plans and running tabletop exercises.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage both technical teams and executive leadership.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISA, CISM, CCSP, or similar) are required.
- Experience with GRC or Cyber Risk Management tools is preferred.
- Willingness to travel up to 25%.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship.
