Protara’s portfolio includes its lead candidate, TARA-002, an investigational cell-based therapy in development for the treatment of non-muscle invasive bladder cancer (NMIBC) and lymphatic malformations (LMs). The Company is evaluating TARA-002 in an ongoing Phase 2 trial in NMIBC patients with carcinoma in situ (CIS) who are unresponsive or naïve to treatment with Bacillus Calmette-Guérin (BCG), as well as a Phase 2 trial in pediatric patients with LMs. Additionally, Protara is developing IV Choline Chloride, an investigational phospholipid substrate replacement for patients on parenteral support who are otherwise unable to meet their choline needs via oral or enteral routes.
Job Overview:
The Executive Assistant provides business and administrative support to the CFO, CCO, CPO, and SVP, Investor Relations & Corporate Affairs. This person handles highly confidential and critical details for a department(s) by performing the following duties.
**This is not a remote role but a hybrid role. The candidate must be able to work in the NYC Office at least two to three days a week.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following (Other duties may be assigned):
- Perform a variety of general administrative tasks in support of the day-to-day operations for the Finance & Accounting, Investor Relations, Commercial, and HR team, such as scheduling meetings, preparing email correspondence, filing, sorting, and distributing mail.
- Efficient and seamless diary management – liaising with external providers, suppliers, collaborators, consultants, and colleagues.
- Organize, schedule, and track all investor meetings and conference logistics.
- Draft and edit documents, email correspondence, reports, and presentations, as requested.
- Various follow-ups on behalf of management as requested.
- Determine the priority of matters for the attention of the Executive Team; redirect matters to staff members to handle or handle matters personally, as appropriate.
- Collaborate and coordinate across other executive assistants in other departments.
- Negotiate and arrange meetings and prepare agendas, reserve, and prepare conference rooms for meetings, including AV/VC/Zoom/Microsoft Teams and catering as needed, and greet and coordinate activities for guests and other attendees.
- Coordinate complex travel plans and develop complete and comprehensive itineraries.
- Prioritize conflicting needs; manage expectations; handle matters expeditiously, proactively, and follow-through on projects to successful completion.
- Ensure that all work is completed in a timely manner, is compliant with company policies and processes, and reflects the highest level of professionalism.
- Assists with scheduling New Hire Induction and On-boarding preparation, as directed.
- Assist in scheduling candidates for interviews related to travel and lodging requirements (if required).
- Respond to external and internal queries timely and coordinate additional communications as needed to resolve inquiries.
- Assist with tracking, reconciling, and completing expense reports on behalf of CFO, SVP, Investor Relations & Corporate Affairs, CPO, and CCO with their corporate credit card or company-related spending.
- Assist in quarterly reviews and year-end audits.
- Work closely and assist other Executives Assistants as needed.
- Manage Ad-hoc projects as needed.
Education and/or Experience:
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- At least 10+ years of Administrative Assistant experience supporting C-suite Executives.
Supervisory Responsibilities: None
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industries preferred.
- Supported Finance and or IR functions preferred. HR and Commercial functions a plus.
Computer Skills:
- Must be proficient in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)

*Salary Requirements are between $115,000 - $130,000 based on experience and qualifications.
