Job Description
Our client is a well-established food blog with a loyal readership and a library of over 700 approachable recipes made with everyday ingredients. The site serves as a go-to resource for home cooks looking for simple, thoughtful, and reliable meal inspiration.
They’re seeking a Content & Marketing Coordinator to support the day-to-day content operations, including writing, content optimization, newsletter support, and social media scheduling. This role is ideal for someone who loves writing, understands the basics of SEO, and is comfortable working with AI tools to help support, but not replace, the creative process.
Location:
Fully-Remote (Work from Home), 9 AM - 5 PM EST
Key Responsibilities
Content Scheduling & Management:
Schedule content across all major platforms, including Facebook (via Meta Business Suite), Pinterest, TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube.
Use scheduling tools to prepare and organize upcoming posts so the client can focus on engagement and community-building.
Maintain a consistent posting calendar and ensure timely, accurate delivery of scheduled content.
Writing & Copy Editing:
Write and edit short- and long-form content, including blog posts, email newsletters, YouTube video scripts, and social media captions.
Repurpose content across multiple platforms while keeping messaging clear, aligned with the brand voice, and tailored to the reader.
Use AI tools like ChatGPT and Gemini to support content creation, thoughtfully revising and refining outputs to meet editorial and SEO standards.
Understand how to write with a focus on the reader, while applying basic SEO principles (keyword use, headers, meta descriptions).
Content Optimization & SEO:
Update existing blog content according to Google’s current SEO best practices, focusing on readability, formatting, and keyword alignment.
Assist in formatting new recipe posts, improving internal linking, and identifying opportunities to expand content based on reader interest or seasonal topics.
Support ongoing SEO initiatives by conducting light keyword research and applying findings during content creation.
Process Execution & Team Collaboration:
Create and follow detailed checklists and SOPs to maintain consistency and quality across all content.
Collaborate with the client to align on weekly and monthly priorities, including YouTube video planning, content scheduling, and campaign execution.
Participate in training and onboarding, remaining open and flexible to evolving workflows and strategy changes.
Occasionally track post performance using Google Analytics or platform insights to inform future optimizations.
Qualifications
2+ years of experience with digital marketing, copywriting, or content creation for blogs, newsletters, or social media.
Strong command of native-level English writing that is warm, clear, and reader-focused.
Familiarity with Meta Business Suite is a must.
Working knowledge of SEO best practices and Google Analytics is required.
Comfortable using AI writing tools as part of the workflow without relying on them entirely.
Detail-oriented, fast learner, able to follow checklists consistently while managing multiple tasks.
Basic understanding of cooking, home cooking culture, or Mediterranean-style cuisine is highly desirable.

Social media content and weekly newsletters are consistently prepped and scheduled on time.
Posts and recipes are regularly updated and optimized to meet SEO and reader experience standards.
Writing is clean, empathetic, and aligned with the brand voice.
Works well independently but stays connected with the team, asks questions when needed, and contributes to a calm, efficient workflow.
Adapts quickly when priorities shift.
