Undergraduate Education | University ExplorationThe Administrative Assistant in University Exploration plays a key part in our mission of providing high-quality advising services for our students. Often, interacting with the Administrative Assistant is the first contact a student makes with our office.
The Administrative Assistant answers phone lines and emails, greets and assists student and family visitors warmly, patiently and competently. Schedules advising appointments for students and helps to manage team members’ calendars. Refers students, parents and departmental staff to other university offices as appropriate. Attends routine trainings to understand and adhere to university policies. Expertly uses relevant technology, including Microsoft Office suite, particularly Outlook and Teams, and the advising appointment scheduling system.
The Administrative Assistant also provides administrative support to advisors, particularly our advising team dedicated to serving our transfer and campus change students. This support will include administrative responsibilities relating to transfer orientation, the survey course we offer for transfer students and campus change processes.
Maintains and disposes of confidential student files according to University’s records retention schedule. Performs data entry and generates reports as requested. Performs other duties and projects as assigned.
University Exploration offers a team-oriented work environment and the person in this position will work together with another Office Admin. While the position’s responsibilities are mostly on campus, this is a hybrid position allowing for a small amount of work-from-home opportunity.
Minimum Required Qualifications
High School diploma or GED. 1 year of relevant experience required.
Additional Information:
The pay range for this job profile is $18.37 - $23.99. The offer for this position will fall within this range based on internal equity, unit's available budget, and the candidate's qualifications.
