POSITION OVERVIEW:

Orion Group is hiring a Finance Associate focused on capital markets to help lead our capital raising and capital structure initiatives across our fast-growing business. This role will have high-exposure to Orion's senior finance team, leadership team, Alpine, and third-party capital providers. You’ll play a key role in supporting debt and equity transactions, capital planning, and strategic financial initiatives.

The team is developing rapidly, and successful professionals will be offered a significant amount of upward mobility through a variety of career paths within Orion. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Support Orion’s capital raises (debt & equity), including stakeholder engagement, due diligence and execution support.

· Build key financial analyses for lender and internal uses, including sponsor models, operating forecasts, and retention / revenue quality analysis.

· Assist in Orion’s capital structure planning, including debt modelling and capacity forecasting.

· Maintain and oversee Orion’s capital structure including cap tables, equity awards, valuations and related equity efforts.

· Assist in the execution of Orion’s strategic finance goals, through supporting our businesses and key leaders.

· Provide support to Orion platform businesses in building out debt compliance and stakeholder reporting capabilities

 

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCES:

College graduate with a 4-year degree and at least 2-3 years in a related field.

· Exceptional analytical skills: ability to handle complex excel workbooks & related analysis

· Thought partnership: collaborative and capable of thinking outside the box.

· Excellent communication: strong written and verbal skills are a must.

· Relationship building: able to develop trust and rapport across teams, clients and stakeholders.

· Versatile: a demonstrated ‘roll up your sleeves’ attitude and willingness to tackle challenges head on.

· Team player: someone who can work with multiple departments and levels within the company.

REPORTING STRUCTURE & TRAVEL:

The position will provide significant exposure to the leadership of Orion’s businesses, the Orion management team, and Orion’s sponsor, Alpine.

Given Orion’s operations across the U.S. and Canada, the role will likely involve occasional travel (approximately 10%).

 

COMPENSATION:

We believe in rewarding our talent with a competitive compensation package and benefits that reflect our commitment to our people. The total compensation (“all-in” comp, including salary and on-target bonus) will range from $160k - $180k depending on experience.

 

TIMING:

This New York-based role will primarily require 4–5 days per week in the office, with some flexibility to work from home. While start dates are flexible, there is a preference for a July 2025 start.
